Web Terminal Global Settings

Web Terminal Global Settings are accessed via Web Terminal -> Global Settings in the Management Console.

Global Settings is where user federated identity can be set up to pre-authenticate users before they access the Web Terminal.

Claim Type for Unique ID

This is the Claim Type to use as a unique identifier for web users. The default is "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/nameidentifier". This value can be reset to this default by pressing the "set to default" button and pressing save.

Web Terminal Authentication Method

No User

This is the authentication method to use for web users. The default is No User Authentication. This is a built-in authentication stub that does not authenticate or authorise users. It allocates all users a random ID and gives access. This is effectively anonymous access to the web application.

SAML2

The second method for authentication is to use SAML 2. This presents the Web Terminal as a SAML 2 Service.
